Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a disease which shows itself as a degeneration of cartilage and new bone growth around a joint which limits activity and causes pain and disability.
Osteoarthritis is mainly caused by joint trauma, obesity and repetitive joint usage eg. running.
If you have osteoarthritis you can safely take part in exercise to:
- Improve muscular endurance and strength.
- Reduce fatigue
- Reduce pain
- Increase flexibility and function
